This New "Sports Illustrated" Model Is The Magazine's Curviest Yet

Ashley Graham calls working with the magazine "a dream come true."

She's starred in campaigns for Lane Bryant and SwimsuitsforAll, designed lingerie with Addition Elle, walked the runway at New York Fashion Week's first plus-size show, and even given an incredibly inspirational Ted Talk.

And now, she can add Sports Illustrated swimsuit model to her checklist.

This morning, Graham was revealed to be the magazine's second "rookie" for 2016.

Graham received significant attention last year for her steamy SwimsuitsforAll ad, which appeared in the 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

Robyn Lawley, technically considered a plus-size model, was photographed for the 2015 issue; however, while "plus-size" starts at a size 8 in the modeling industry, the plus-size market for most women starts at a size 14.

But this year's shoot will actually allow readers to vote for Graham as SI's "Rookie of the Year," which guarantees the winner a spot in next year's issue.

(Though polls aren't open yet!)

In an Instagram post, Graham calls working with Sports Illustrated "a dream come true."

"Thank you to everyone who stood up for curves," she writes. "Our voices were heard."
