Like Meghann Fahy, I would also start involuntarily crying if I ever met Taylor Swift.

It's no secret that Meghann Fahy gave one of my favorite TV performances of 2022 for her work as Daphne in The White Lotus Season 2.

Meghann, who previously starred on The Bold Type, earned critical acclaim for The White Lotus and recently received a 2023 Emmy nomination for the role.

When the show was airing, fans could not get enough of Meghann's performance, especially in the season finale. And apparently, one of those fans was also Taylor Swift.

In a recent interview with W Magazine for their annual TV Portfolio, Meghann revealed that the most starstruck she's ever been is when she met Taylor Swift around the time literally everyone was watching The White Lotus.

"Meeting Taylor Swift was… I couldn't have been more starstruck. I almost threw up before meeting her," Meghann began.

She continued, saying, "I saw her from across the room, and I just started crying involuntarily. I was so embarrassed. I was like, I cannot say hello to her with tears in my eyes."

Meghann said she tried to pull herself together before approaching Taylor, but doesn't think she did a very good job, adding, "I had to pretend to be semi-normal, but I don't think I fooled her."

Once Meghann worked up the courage to say hi to Taylor, she said Taylor pretty much calmed her down while she was freaking out.

"[Taylor] put her arm around me, and she was like, you’re fine," Meghan began. "She watched [The White Lotus], which was insane. That was a true highlight for me."

In another recent interview with Josh Horowitz for Happy Sad Confused, Meghann elaborated further on how much meeting Taylor meant to her.

"I've been in love with her since I was 16 or whatever," Meghann said. "She looked at me, and she was like, 'Oh my god, I'm such a fan,' and I just died. It was surreal. It was very, very surreal."

And just to show how deep Meghann's love of Taylor goes, four years ago, Meghann told BuzzFeed about how she met Taylor very early in Taylor's career and before Meghann was famous.
