Elizabeth Olsen Revealed Her Mom Has Been Calling Her Marvel Character By The Wrong Name This Whole Time

"I didn't know that's what you thought my name was!"

🚨Warning: There are MASSIVE spoilers ahead for Episode 8 of WandaVision!🚨

Listen, for the last few months, all I've been able to talk about is WandaVision.

I feel like I have to apologize to everyone in my life who has had to deal with me, because I will not shut up about this show.

So, because of my latest TV obsession, I was naturally super excited to watch Elizabeth Olsen on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night, and I can't stop laughing over this hilarious story she told about her mom.

During the show, Jimmy Fallon showed Elizabeth some of the hilarious tweets about WandaVision, and she was so excited to see that fans are enjoying the show.

Earlier in the interview, Lizzie said that she's always convinced every project she's in is going to "fail," so she loves that WandaVision has become so beloved because she was so "proud" of what they accomplished.

One tweet in particular was about the massive moment at the end of Episode 8 when Agatha Harkness calls Wanda "the Scarlet Witch."

This moment was literally YEARS in the making, considering this is the first time the phrase "Scarlet Witch" has ever been used in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so naturally everyone was freaking out.

And Lizzie revealed that this moment actually led to her mom telling her that she's been calling Wanda by the wrong name for YEARS.

"My mom just told me the other day that she's been calling me the 'Red Witch' for the last, she said four years, but I think I've been doing this for like six or seven."

This is literally the epitome of your mom trying to support you unconditionally, but actually having no clue what is happening.

She said her mom was like, "Why didn't you ever correct me?" and she just told her, "I just thought you were making a joke. I didn't know that's what you thought my name was!"

I'm just laughing thinking about the look of horror on Lizzie's mom's face when she realized she's been calling Wanda by the wrong name — to Lizzie's face — this whole time.

Anyway, I hope everyone, including Lizzie's mom, is ready for the WandaVision finale because I know I'm going to need someone to check on me afterward.
