final question: Pick your paris pet peeve

The Eiffel Tower, the old buildings, the Rue de Passy, and so more much are in the 16th. It has bougie, rich vibes, and of course that means there are some tourists too. But it's still a very elegant place to live.

The 6th is boho-chic, with old cafes and universities. There is the Luxembourg gardens too, which is great for an outdoor lunch or a game of tennis.

The 18th is at the north tip of Paris. It's on a hill, so it's a bit of a walk up, since there's not many cars or buses. But that means the cobble stone streets are quite and lovely for marches. There's the Sacre Coeur and old cafes where artists like Picasso sat and pondered.

The center of Paris. Certainly a busy, crazy place to live. There is Chatelet, the largest and most confusing metro stop ever, but at least you can get around Paris once you master it ;) Above ground there is the Louvre and the Tuileries Gardens.
