How Much Will Sequestration Affect U.S. Science Funding?

Sequestration is slated to take effect on Friday, March 1st, unless a compromise is reached. Here’s what you need to know about how it affects science funding.

TOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But Seriously…

According to USA Today the reductions include “[A]cross-the-board spending cuts totaling $85 billion spread across federal agencies. The sequestration’s $1.6 billion cut to NIH, the world’s leading medical grant agency, translates into a 5.1% cut to medical research, hurting new research grants in particular.” (from Dan Vergano) tumblr

Don’t do this to science, Congress.
