Even a Krabby Patty isn't worth the pain.

Showing up for work every morning is already painful enough as is.

But when you’re feeling sick, going to work feels worse than punching yourself in the face.

It’s actually like an eight hour cycle of repeatedly getting punched in the face.

Here’s what it feels like to be sick at work, as told by Spongebob Squarepants:

The struggle is real from the first moment you step into your work place.

You're not even sure how you made it there alive, but you're there and that's the important part...right?

And no matter who you think you’re fooling, everyone can tell.

What? Do I have something on my face?

When your boss tells you to go home, you try to convince them otherwise.

But it’s very clear you are not okay.

You know you look like death in the flesh.

So you try to pump yourself up for the day.

No pain, no gain!

Maybe eat some breakfast.

Maybe not on second thought...

Then you get down to business, but your brain just is not having it.

And you thought the drive to work was hard as is.

Even attempting to tackle simple tasks seem inconceivable.

The only thing you want to do is go home.

All the while, your co-workers are treating you like the plague.

Realistically, you'd probably feel the same if you were in their shoes.

After all, you know you’re not doing too hot.

Even your reflection doesn't want to see you looking like this.

And after about an hour in, your boss knows it too.

Since they’re the ones keeping order in the office, they make the call to send you home.

They're already responsible for every other employee, and quite frankly you're becoming a liability just by being there.

At first you beg.

Because that paycheck is still in the back of your mind and you're obviously not thinking clearly.

They can tell those tears are from allergies.

So they force you to go home and get some rest, which you secretly celebrate over.

THANK THE LORD.

Low and behold, as you’re packing up your things, you suddenly feel a million times better.

Like the light of heaven just poured down upon you and miraculously made you well again.

And once you get home, you realize work was never worth leaving bed for that morning.

Because at the end of the day, it would have felt a lot like this anyway:

And who wants that to happen?
