This is 24-year-old Enzo Lefort. He's a champion foil fencer from France who won bronze at the 2014 World Championships.
There he is on the left, defying gravity.
So imagine everyone's surprise when, in the middle of a bout with Germany's Peter Joppich, Lefort's phone fell out of his pocket. IN THE MIDDLE OF A BOUT, guys!
Holy hell!! Olympians — they're just like us.
Let's break it down.
Here are the two competing fencers, attempting to jab each other on the piste. Nothing special to see here.
And then, after some swift moves by Joppich, Lefort stumbles off piste and the phone goes tumbling on to the floor.
*hands it over to coach without making eye contact*
Watch the entire incident here:
Lefort lost the match and did not move on to the next round.
The good news is: The phone appears to be in working condition.
Watch the American women led by Simone Biles in the gymnastics team final tonight in primetime at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
