This Extremely Chill Video Game Is All About Succulents

If you love succulents, your day has come.

Succulents IRL are obviously the best thing ever.

But if your real garden isn't enough to satisfy your succulent desires, there is now a second best thing...

... a VIDEO GAME that is literally all about low-maintenance greens and nothing else.

Meet Viridi (free, Mac and PC, iOS coming soon), a click-to-water game where doing less is more. The trick is to *not* overwater your buds.

There's not much to actually do in this game.

This is my pot, Hungry Hippot, six days in. 🌵

Once a day, I click on each bud to see if it's thirsty.

If you spritz more than once a day, your buds will become overwatered.

Thirsty:Oh cool lets spray thisSated:Wouldnt hurt if I do it againOverwatered:Oooh what happens if I do it one more time?DeadR.I.P Plantie

There are also tiny weed thingies that crop up all over my pot. It is not clear why I need to remove them. But it's a thing to do, so I do it.

To distract yourself from watering your plants, you can play with your snail friend instead. You can water the snail infinite times.

You get one free seedling per week, and you can also buy plants from the "nursery" for mere cents.

Plant your little guys and watch 'em grow!! It's so fun!!!

And it might make you an even better plant parent IRL.
