Response to What Age Are You, Really?:
Haha same here, I got a 42 as well. Always believed I was a grandma trapped in a 25 year old’s body… Nice to know I’m a bit younger than I thought.
Response to It Gets Better, Unless You’re Fat:
I cannot say that I’ve experienced the same as the writer here, since I am not gay; but I have struggled with my weight through all of my life and thus, can relate to the “fat shaming” many of us go through. The thing most people don’t get, is that an obese person is basically addicted to food. And, unlike other addictions, we can’t just stop eating to kick the habit since we, as human beings, need food as fuel for our survival. This is, I believe, what makes it so hard for us overweight people to shed those extra pounds of fat we’re carrying. You try to give up smoking if you still had to smoke at least four times a day to be healthy. Not so easy, is it? As some have pointed out in the comments, it’s not just about eating right and exercising either; some of us have medical conditions that greatly contribute to our weight and make it really hard for us to get in shape. It is possible, but you have to be a really strong person, have an iron will and lots of determination maintain your efforts.
Response to 27 Problems Only Introverts Will Understand:
Oh my god! This is so mee!! Except #14; that never happens, I just get all awkward and even quieter around my crushes…
Response to Morning Rituals To Have A Great Day:
I do a couple of these every day: mainly drinking a hot cup o’ joe and going through a page or two from whatever book I happen to be reading at the time. I even walk to work while listening to music…and while all of these don’t guarantee that you’ll have a good day, it is true that you’ll start your days in a better mood. They may not end up that way though, especially if you hate your job.
Response to 19 Examples Of Everyday Sexism:
Oh, how I hate it when men blame a woman’s bad mood on PMS. Right, because it’s not possible to be in a pissy mood without being all hormonal and sh!t if you’re female. Jeez!
Response to What A Juice Cleanse Is REALLY Like:
My, have I done many crazy things like this one with my body when I was younger!
I’ve been struggling with my weight forever and have tried everything from cleansing to eating nothing but proteins and plenty more crazy diets that only work for a short time.
With these crash diets you end up gaining all the weight you once lost and then some. Take it from me, the only way to lose weight is eating healthy meals and exercise. The only tip I got that has been really working for me is to eat something every 2 hours or so; never let more than 3 hours go by without something to eat and at least 1 1/2 hours between each meal. This will help you eat smaller portions and will speed up your metabolism considerably…
Response to 10 Heartwarming Ways Dogs Greet Their People:
Awww, dogs are the best
I can’t believe Uruguay made the list! hahah
Dulce de leche is a really sweet concoction that is typical of South America but it goes by many other names depending on which country you’re in. To give you all an idea of what it tastes like, think of the sweetness of condensed milk but with a heavier creamy texture. It’s really tasty and used most commonly in desserts and such. I’ve never found anything that comes close to it in non-latin countries.
