Steve Martin Tweeted About Getting The COVID-19 Vaccine, And, Of Course, He Threw A Joke In There

    "Thank you science."

You know Steve Martin: actor, comedian, generally lovely man.

Well, good news! Steve just received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Of course, Steve couldn't share the news without throwing in a 'lil joke too:

Good news/Bad news. Good news: I just got vaccinated! Bad news: I got it because I’m 75. Ha! The operation in NYC was smooth as silk (sorry about the cliché @BCDreyer!) and hosted to perfection by the US Army and National Guard. Thank you all, and thank you science.

In New York, people over 65 are eligible for the vaccine. Unfortunately, roll out has been less than stellar across the board — both in NYC and throughout the country.

He also answered a question about how exactly he got the vaccine:

I signed up ON line through an NYC dot gov website (sorry I don’t have the exact site), and waited IN line at the Javits Center. https://t.co/Ohp3frxy6i

I would hazard a guess that Steve started with the NYC Vaccine Finder website, which you can find here.

This isn't the only time Steve has tweeted about the coronavirus — like the time he joked about wearing a giant "Steve Martin" sign above his head.

I always wear a mask when I go outside. But something about it was leaving me anxious and unsettled. I thought about the problem, addressed it, and here is the solution.

Well, at least it's one thing to be positive about!
