Bella Hadid Reacted To Ariana Grande's Viral Video On Comments About Her Body

"Instagram is not real and we need to look deeper and consciously remind ourselves that each of us are just human beings trying our best."

Warning: This post includes discussion of weight loss.

Bella Hadid voiced her support for Ariana Grande's recent TikTok asking people not to comment on her body.

The singer's video came amid rampant speculation surrounding her weight, with some voicing "concern" over her thinness. "I think we should be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people's bodies, no matter what," Ariana said. "I know personally, for me, the body you've been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body."

"You never know what someone is going through. So even if you are coming from a loving place or caring place, that person is probably working on it or has a support system that they are working on it with," she continued.

Bella shared Ariana's video onto her own Instagram, writing in the caption, "You never know what someone is dealing with, mentally or physically. Disease or depression. Grief or heartache. You just don’t, and you will never know until you walk in a day in their shoes."

"Instead of unsolicited advice or opinions, judgement or aggression, just try to offer a helping hand and be kind. There is always a reason for the way people look/feel, so try to be soft, especially when you don’t know someone or what they’ve been through," Bella continued.

"Instagram is not real and we need to look deeper and consciously remind ourselves that each of us are just human beings trying our best. So next time someone wants to write a nasty article to make fun, or a mean comment to get some likes, just remember that."

"If someone wants to talk badly about another person, remove yourself from the conversation. It’s so much cooler to be kind. Love you guys. And love you Ari. This is so important, I am very proud of you. It will help so many people. Thank you," she concluded.

Bella smiles widely as she walks outside

Bella has recently been dealing with health problems of her own, as she was unable to attend the latest Vogue cover shoot due to not "feeling well enough."

Bella previously shared an Everyday Connection post about "non-appearance compliments," writing in the caption, "There is so much more to you than the eyes can see."
