I Went To A Hot Sauce Festival And Got A Spice High

    This is my Coachella.

When I saw that there was a Hot Sauce Expo in NYC, complete with a Chihuahua Beauty Pageant, I knew I had to go IMMEDIATELY.

As a lover of spicy things and spicy dogs, I believe I was destined to go. So without hesitation, I dragged my coworkers to the Brooklyn Expo Center in Greenpoint to try some delicious sauces, but more importantly, to see the hottest Chihuahua fashion show this world has ever seen.

There were grown-ass men crying and drinking entire cartons of warm milk. Approximately 80% of the people there were either drunk, sweating, or experiencing an extreme hot sauce high.

When it came time for the Chihuahuas to take the stage, everyone was screaming as if they were at a heavy metal show. And if that wasn’t enough, my coworker’s period came early due to the shockingly high number of chili pastes I forced her to try with me.

The Chihuahua Beauty Pageant was everything I dreamed of and more.

I mean look at this dog. JUST LOOK AT IT.

    Spicy and Afraid:

    COUTURE.

The winners, Yeyush and Renzo, are without a doubt the cutest and most stylish chihuahuas that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

I probably tried around 20 different kinds of hot sauce— and even a few pieces of spicy chocolate— before getting to what looked like the most intimidating & spicy sauce I could find…

…the brand: Cobra Chili. The sauce: Fever

At the end of the day, I left the event feeling, quite honestly, pretty high from all the heat.
