In case you missed ABC's Boy Band this summer, there's a new boy band in town and they are ready to take over the music world. Rita Ora hosted the singing competition while Nick Carter, Emma Bunton, and Timbaland served as "architects" or judges. Throughout 10 shows, 30 men competed to be a part of the five-piece group receiving a recording contract with Hollywood Records. Last Thursday, it was announced the members of "In Real Life" would be Brady Tutton, Chance Perez, Drew Ramos, Sergio Calderon, and Michael Conor. Tutton is the youngest member of the band at age 15. He's from Shorewood, Wisconsin and has a music theatre/acting background- he played Brock on the ABC sitcom Fresh of the Boat. Tutton sang "On Bended Knee" by Boyz II Men for his audition and several ballads throughout the show. He was never put up for elimination. Perez is the most followed member of the band with 106k followers on Instagram. He's 19 from Seal Beach, California and has a two-year-old daughter named Brooklyn. Perez auditioned for America's Got Talent last year with a group called "Boy Band Project." While they received positive reviews from Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell was not a big fan and they were ultimately eliminated. Perez sang "Somebody to Love" by Queen for his audition and was a frontrunner throughout the season of Boy Band. Ramos, 19, is from Bronx, New York. Before Boy Band, he played in subways to try to earn some money for his mother. Ramos auditioned for Boy Band singing Sam Smith's "Stay with Me." The judges really started to praise him in the middle of the season. He never was in the bottom three. Sixteen-year-old Sergio Calderon is from Redwood City, California. He auditioned singing "Stand by Me" by Ben E. King. The judges loved his personality and performance quality. Calderon was the bottom two one week but was saved by America. The fifth and final member of In Real Life is eighteen-year-old Michael Conor. The Shaker Heights, Ohio native is also a rapper and violinist. Conor sang "A Little More" by Machine Gun Kelly for his audition. Due to his emphasis on rap instead of vocals, the judges were unsure if he was right for the band but America continued to vote for him. In Real Life premiered their first single "Eyes Closed" on the show's finale. Watch out for these boys they are coming in hot and bringing back the 1D feels. We can even see the similarity just look at the picture again: Chance (Harry), Brady (Niall), Drew (Zayn), Sergio (Liam), and Michael (Louie). Be on the lookout for their new music video.
