Tati Gabrielle — "You" And "Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina" Actor — Shared That She Grew Up With Zendaya, And Now I Absolutely Need The Two Of Them In A Project Together

    OG stans know that the 26-year-old first popped up on the scene as Gaia in The 100 and cemented her acting prowess as the fan-favorite Prudence Night in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

    Since then, she made waves as Marienne in You, giving strong final girl vibes as one of the only women to survive Joe Goldberg's homicidal tendencies. 

    And now, she's starring in Uncharted — based on the video game franchise of the same name — alongside Tom Holland, Antonio Banderas, and Mark Wahlberg. Basically, it's now her world, and we're just living in it.

    Rightfully so! I've been waiting years for her to get her flowers!

    Recently opening up to Glamour UK, Tati reflected on her feature film debut, including what it was like doing her own stunts (she's a black belt in karate, because of course she is). "I have never had so much just blatant fun doing something," she said of her role, Braddock, a merciless treasure hunter. "I love my martial arts, and I’ve always loved sparring, fighting."

    Uncharted, ahem, *charts* an Indiana Jones-esque type journey toward hidden treasure, following the young Nathan Drake (Tom) as he's guided by jaded veteran explorer Victor "Sully" Sullivan (Mark).

    On what it was like working with Tom, Tati described the Spider-Man star as "the sweetest" and characterized him as "very silly, very goofy, very funny."

    And even though Zendaya didn't visit the film set "at least 30 times," she reached out to Tati, who revealed that the two actually grew up together in the San Francisco Bay Area.

    "I grew up with Zendaya! We went to school together," she shared. "Tom was texting her while we were filming and then she texts me — it was like, 'Hey, he says you’re doing super-awesome! Sending love!'"

    OK, so, when are we getting a Tati and Zendaya movie? Show? Performance piece? I'd literally settle for a joint TikTok.

    Costar Mark was in Tati's corner, too. Even though the film's release is "really nerve-wracking," she said, The Departed star gave her some solid advice. "[He] really took me under his wing during the shooting and gave me a lot of different advice. Mostly how to carry myself and to know to ask for what I needed, to never be afraid of speaking up, and to just gain confidence in myself and whatever I say and do."

    "As well as learning that, yes, you should be a team player, always, but don’t let anyone walk over you or take advantage of you," she added. "Because that, for me, hurts more than you think it does."
