    1. A pumice stone that will actually remove hard water and rust stains without requiring hours of work or any harsh chemicals.

Promising review: "I have a 19-year-old master bathroom toilet that had accumulated some nasty stains over time which regular toilet brushes and cleaning products just would not remove. Decided to try this pumice stone, figuring that the worst that could happen would be that it scratched the porcelain and I'd have to replace the toilet. Pumice stone worked like a charm! Given the nature and severity of the stains, it required some elbow grease, but 10 minutes later I have a new-looking bowl, and I see no signs of scratching. Am very happy with this purchase...well worth the very low price!" —Happy Retiree

Get it on Amazon for $7.99.

    2. A dishwasher magnet to forever solve the mystery of whether the dishes are impeccably well-rinsed, but still technically dirty, or actually clean and ready to be unloaded.

Whoever runs the dishwasher flips the magnet — and whoever unloads the clean dishes flips it again. It's just that simple.

Promising review: "This thing does its job. Very sturdy too for its price. I added color to it to make it easier to see from far away. Buy this!" —Amazon Customer

Get it on Amazon for $3.29.

    3. A drain millipede that will reach deep into your sink and shower drains to extract all the lurking hair, gunk, and buildup that's stubbornly blocking the water from draining freely.,

Promising review: "Never has my flabber been so ghasted. For a sub-$6 tool, this worked amazingly great. Pulled out a 3.5-foot-long hair monster from the shower drain. User tip: when you pull back a little and feel resistance, reinsert the millipede and twist (a pair of pliers helps with this) like your life depended on it. This gets the clog to wrap around the little tines a lot more and gives you stronger leverage to unclog the nasty SOB.

The times are so clingy, that is near impossible to clean off the hair clog afterwards. Makes this essentially a one use tool, which I'm ok with. I don't have to clean and store a drain snake for a once a year (at most) use." —J.M.

Get one on Amazon for $5.01.

    4. A dish squeegee to clean excess food off your plates in half the time it would take to rinse — plus if you're not rinsing, you're saving water.

Plus it can even help your sponge last longer, because it won't get so many food particles stuck in it. Then you can simply load everything directly into the dishwasher. (Note that it is a squeegee, not a rigid scraper — it won't be much help with cooled-and-stuck melted cheese bits, unless you seriously soak them first.)

Promising reviews: "Very happy with this product! Works great for scrapping food off of dishes and has already saved a bunch of water due to less rinsing." —Adam

"Love this! Works great on scraping everything from cleaning oatmeal from a pot to caked on casserole dishes." —Chris

Get it on Amazon for $4.99.

    5. A pack of fizzing tablets for easily deep cleaning even the most built-up layers of coffee and tea stains — they're like an ultra-powerful bath bomb for your stainless and plastic travel mugs.

Promising review: "Can I give Bottle Bright 10 stars? This is a MIRACLE product. I saw it on Shark Tank last week and was really surprised that Lori was the only one that made them an offer (the other Sharks must not use Contigo travel mugs). I immediately ordered it to try and save my Contigo mug that I thought was too far gone. One 10-minute go-round with this product in warm water cleaned the dark brown layer of crud off the bottom of the mug, revealing perfect, shiny, good-as-new stainless steel underneath! I'd tried everything to get that off, but the shape of the bottle made it nearly impossible to scrub. With this product, it rinsed right off like it was nothing. I decided to try one more tablet with hot water and leave it overnight to get the stains off the sides of the bottle. This morning when I rinsed it out, I was absolutely blown away by how perfect it looks. I almost didn't want to put more coffee in it! Also, as the product was sitting and doing its thing in the water, there was no odor whatsoever, and there is absolutely no residual taste. I don't know how they did it, but this incredible product is a MUST-HAVE if you have a mug that you find impossible to clean!" —Erica C.

Get a pack of 12 tablets on Amazon for $7.99.

    6. A pie shield to prevent your crusts from burning, allow your pies to rise in the center, and stop the filling from leaking from the edges.

It works on both homemade and those frozen store-bought pies!

Promising review: "After reading the reviews, I ordered the 10-inch shield for my 9-inch glass pie dish. It fits perfectly and it has cutouts on the sides allowing the shield to fit over the handles of the pie dish. It also covered the crust nicely without shielding too much of the filling. My crust did not burn even though I have a very teeny, tiny, small oven which means that my pies are always very close to the element. All in all this is a good buy if you are tired of cutting foil circles to protect your crust." —Jennem

Get it from Amazon for $5.99+ (available in 9" and 10" sizes, although many reviewers note the 10" one works better for 9" pie pans with handles).

    7. A soft cleanser that busts through built-up hard water stains on glass shower doors without requiring more than, like, one ounce or so of elbow grease.

Promising review: "Like a hot knife through butter for built up hard water stains on my glass shower doors. I've tried everything and this stuff worked in two minutes. Made me a little embarrassed it took so long to find something so effective. I haven't tried it on anything else yet but I guarantee I'll be reordering just to have extra. Just can't have enough of a good thing." —Amazon Customer

Get a pack of two bottles for $12 (or $6 each) or one bottle for $7.25, both on Amazon.

    8. A pair of Keepons to slide on the ends of your glasses so they finally stop that annoying habit of sliding down your nose multiple times every hour.

Instead, they'll actually stay put and in-place — fairly discreetly, too.

Promising review: "I knew the best way to test these out would be to wear them to work (at a BBQ restaurant) where I'm constantly moving up and down and getting a little sweaty. My glasses never moved! It was amazing, these are a must buy! They're very discrete which i like. From the side view you can't even tell they're there at all! It takes a few seconds to adjust when you put your glasses on once these are on the glasses but when you get them where you like it, your glasses won't move until you take them off."—Chadbdot

Get them on Amazon: 10 pairs in black for $4.99 or 20 pairs for $9.99; or 20 pairs in white / translucent for $6.99 (they do have multiple styles and sizes, depending on the style of your glasses; to figure out your size, consult the fifth image in any of their product listings).

    9. A pack of dishwasher tablets for dissolving all the buildup preventing your dishes from actually getting clean — say goodbye to white streaks and weird odors.

Promising review: "This has been the most effective dishwasher cleaner that I have ever used. Easy to use, and does the job at a great price. This stuff really cleans out that old dishwasher "funk" that happens after having a dishwasher for 10+ years. It even improved the quality of the cleaning of dishes, which was a claim I was skeptical about, but it actually seemed to de-scale the sprayers and drains. I was quite pleased with this product and plan to run one of these every couple months." —C. Costa

Get a pack of six tablets on Amazon for $5.49.

    10. A microfiber towel turban so you can twist up your hair so it dries faster, all without causing damage or frizz. Plus the handy button on the back keeps it in place, letting you eat breakfast, put lotion on, or even just watch TV until you're ready to style it.

Promising review: "This is great!!! I always hate having the towel fall off my head, plus a normal towel is actually damaging for your hair. This just works so well, stays on, and reduces frizz. I had to buy a few more because I love it so much. Seriously, everyone with hair past your ears needs this." —Kate

Get it on Amazon for $7.99.

    11. A jar of exfoliating and hydrating lip scrub, because winter doesn't even officially hit until December 21, but your chapped lips already need all the help they can get.

It exfoliates with sugar and coconut, then immediately hydrates with a mix of coconut, jojoba, and avocado oils for maximum softness. Oh, and it's vegan and cruelty-free, too!

Promising review: "Story time: My lips were flaking more than the snow outside. They were dryer than the desert. I followed the directions and it wasn’t cutting into my skin like a thousand knives of fire as it sloughs away the disgustingly gross layer of cells. It also moisturizes like a warm hug. After rinsing away those hug crystals, my lips are given that new life and soft enough to not hurt others’ feelings when I yell about the 2016 Chicago Cubs being the greatest baseball team. Moral of the story: add this to your cart. No regrets will happen." —Awesomeness

Get a jar on Amazon for $8.90.

    12. And a gentle, non-drying face scrub that says it eliminates dirt and oil without taking all your skin's moisture along with it.

Promising review: "My new favorite scrub! It's gentler than others that I've tried, but I think that makes it better. The soft seaweed exfoliates nicely and doesn't cause micro-tears in my skin like apricot pits or walnut shells do in other scrubs. Most scrubs make my face look very red and irritated after using but this one doesn't. I do think it brightens, too. I use it two or three times a week and I think my skin tone is evening out very nicely. Not too drying, either! Kind of moisturizing, in fact, which is great with a scrub." —Megan S.

Get it on Amazon for $8.49.

    13. Garbage disposal cleaning tablets — they foam up to scour every grimy nook and cranny of your smelly disposal, all you do is dump one in and flip the switch.

It won't unclog your disposal — you'll have to call a plumber to do that — but it will help with any lingering stinky smells!

Promising review: "It seems counterintuitive to put a little packet down your garbage disposal to clean it, but this does actually seem to work, at least for getting out weird smells that baking soda and vinegar don't really touch. I scrub the sink down first, especially around the garbage disposal area, rinse it down, and then just follow the directions on the package. I have used it with single, large-size sinks and with double sinks — the only difference is that the double sink will have blue cleaning foam rise up the drain, which you rinse away when the disposal sounds clear again. Tried and true." —K.S.

Get a pack of four on Amazon for $6.42.

    14. A pair of charcoal deodorizers to suck the stench out of your sweaty shoes like it was never even there in the first place.

You just stick 'em in the shoes when you're not wearing them (some reviewers say you do have to leave them for a few days), then recharge them in a sunbeam every few months.

Promising review: "I have a pair of black leather flats that stank so badly my husband would yell if I took them off anywhere near him. But I love the shoes!!! So I had to find something to make the stench go away. Mini Moso was the answer. I honestly couldn’t believe it. A few days after placing them in my prized off shoes I took a whiff from about a foot away. Nothing. I got closer. Nothing. I stuck my nose practically in the shoe. Ok, maybe that’s pushing things, but I’ve got to tell you that 95% of the broken-in leather grossness was gone. So happy!!!" —Erin

Get two on Amazon for $9.93.

    15. A pack of shadow shields that'll catch all the fallout as you layer up your favorite colors, so you don't have to spend extra time (and product) making your under-eye look neat.

    @brandi.x0 /

Promising review: "These shields are just the best! I am someone who does my foundation and concealer before I do my eye makeup. I like dramatic looks, which is often the culprit of the dreaded shadow fallout. Problem solved! Not only do these catch fallout, but they allow for crisper and more even lines on both the bottom and sides of my eyes. Side note, I have almond eyes and they are a bit big, but the shield still covers the entire area that they need to!" —Carolyn Rome

Get a pack of 30 on Amazon for $9.50.

    16. A handheld knife sharpener because trying to slice and dice anything with a dull knife is basically asking for the blade to slip on a rogue kiwi and accidentally cut you.

Promising review: "Some folks suggest NOT using on high-end knives. I use this on my high-end German knife and it performs as well as any expensive sharpener. If your "good" knife requires some fancy sharpener, perhaps the knife is the problem. I use this on three large kitchen knives as well as paring knives, and it keeps them all in tip-top shape. I do a lot of chopping, so having every knife tomato-ready is great. If you want an expensive sharpener to fiddle around with, be my guest; for me, I'd prefer to spend my time USING sharp knives, rather than adding undetectable macho-sharpness I don't need. Find a couple of good videos before you start — the instructions are ok, but don't actual demonstrate all the features!" —Pinchas

Elizabeth, one of our editors, owns one of these and loves it — you can read her full knife sharpener review for more!

Get one on Amazon for $5.50 (three colors).

    17. A five-pack of window insulation film to cut down on the heat that literally disappears through your drafty or un-insulated windows, so you stay warmer *and* save money on heating bills.

Because your heater won't have to work so hard.

Promising review: "SORCERY!!! What a difference this has already made! Using an infrared thermometer, the temperature inside went from mid 50s to 66.7 within minutes of installation. The furnace was always set to high 60s until we installed the film. Now it's set at 63 degrees, and the furnace is blowing less frequently and for shorter periods of time.

Aside from being much toastier, we quickly noticed another bonus to this product: the road noise from outside seems to also have been greatly reduced. What used to sound like the Grand Prix going through our home now sounds muffled, so less noticeable/annoying. That's HUGE.

All this begs the question: what if several layers were installed on the same window at once??? And as a sidenote, the one I bought was in fact crystal clear." —Public name

Get a five-window pack on Amazon for $7.34.

    18. A pack of ten boot cleaning wipes for a quick fix when your suede boots end up covered in salt stains from the ice melt or when your nephew dumps his dinner all over your leather jacket.,

Promising review: "Worked perfectly on black suede booties. Splattered some creamy soup on them two months ago. Couldn't find anything that removed the stain. Tried these wipes as a last ditch effort. I can't believe it, they look brand new!! Stains came right out with very little effort." —AAD

Get a pack of 10 wipes on Amazon for $8.27.

    19. A sink strainer made with silicone so you don't have to dig your fingers into the gross caught food to clean it out — instead, you simply invert the center to empty all the gunk at once.,

Plus it's dishwasher-safe, making it easy to keep it clean and nice-looking year after year. Oh, and it always lets the water drain through while it catches the crud.

Promising review: "After trying multiple sink strainers, I'm thrilled to report that this is the clear winner. I was sick and tired of the kind that would move itself into the sink stopper position, and make grungy water backup while I was rinsing, making me have to put my hands in there to try to get the f-ing post turned the correct way to let the water flow down the drain. Frustrating.

This strainer is simply a strainer. It grabs big pieces of whatever you're putting in the sink, and it's easy to pick the strainer up and bang it against the garbage can to discharge the trapped stuff into the trash. I've had zero problems with food getting stuck to the strainer — even melted cheese falls right off. My last strainer was the wire type, and I spent a good amount of time cleaning and cursing that thing because everything seemed to stick and meld itself to the wire. I've had no problems with this strainer. It stays clean looking, and is easy to clean. I just empty it, wipe it off with a soapy paper towel, rinse, and replace. Magic!

    * Update November

I'm still loving this sink strainer. It still looks brand new, and I've been using it for more than six months in my kitchen sink. It was a real problem solver, and I'm so happy that I found it!" —housewench

Get it on Amazon for $7.96.

    20. A pill organizer with a small box for each day that's divided into times of day, so you never have to dig past your evening dose to take what you need to at lunchtime.

And you can organize everything on the weekend, then simply grab the day's small, portable box, instead of carrying a week's worth of meds around.

Promising review: "I have had this for a few months now. I don’t think I’ve missed any medicine since I started using it. I am on 10 different meds which I take several times a day. This is perfect. I love that I can put the day in my purse or pocket, and I am set for the day. As a side note, when you pull out your new pill pod, you know what day it is. Lol. I keep the tower in our medicine chest, and if I'm home, I just leave the day I am using on top of the tower. Mom saw mine and ordered one. Everyone who I’ve shown it to is sold." —Karen R. Starken

Get it on Amazon for $8.09.

    21. An accupressure wristband that just might help relieve your nausea, whether it's caused by holiday travels (motion sickness, why???), being pregnant, 3D gaming, or something else entirely.,

Promising review: "So I get car sick, sea sick, air sick, 3D movie sick. I get motion sickness at a drop of a hat. Being in my mid-30s, I would have thought I'd grown out of it by now, but no such luck. I was pleasantly surprised to find that these helped me tremendously. I wore them all the time over the course of my five day cruise and was never sick during my vacation. I was stunned. My first cruise I got so sea sick the first day and ended up in a foggy haze the rest of the trip since I took so much Dramamine. Great little product and I can't believe how well they worked. I bought a second pair for the car, so if I ever feel sick, I can just put these on. I would highly recommend, even for the skeptical." —KristinaK

Get a pack of two on Amazon for $6.68.

    22. A set of three microfiber cloths to vanish every speck of foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and more with just a couple of swipes, meaning you'll have basically no excuse to fall asleep in your makeup even on the latest nights.,

Although if you're acne-prone, this isn't a substitute for washing your face with a gentle cleanser! They take your makeup off so your cleanser can really do its job.

Promising review: "No more expensive disposable wipes! I have no clue how this works, but it does! Let me start by saying I was wearing a full face of make up. I mean foundation, contour highlight, eyeliner, seriously the whole nine yards. All I did was wet it and wiped my face, and my jaw literally dropped. This is hands down my favorite make up remover at the moment. The best part is that they are reusable so you don't have to keep buying those expensive disposables that leave your face feeling greasy. And honestly, four dollars? Just buy them. Trust me, you won't regret it." —Heather and Ryne Griffith

Get the pack of three on Amazon for $3.99.

    23. A jewelry cleaning brush that will shine up diamonds, Swarovski crystals, and other precious stones so they sparkle brilliantly like the very first day you bought them.,

And it doesn't take up much space, so you can keep it in your purse or travel kit for when you're out and about.

Promising review: "Can't tell you the number of times I've been on my way to an event, meeting, party, etc and realize my ring is cloudy from lotion — ack! I run to the bathroom to quickly clean it, it takes 30-60 seconds max, and my ring looks brand new again! I don't even take my ring off — just get it wet, twist the bottom to make the cleaner come out into the brush, scrub with the brush, and rinse with warm water. The cleaner foams up as you brush — it really feels like it's cleaning the grime and oils off. The brush is super soft and really gets into nooks and crannies, unlike the brushes that come in those jar cleaners that are always too bristly and thick for my dainty yellow gold jewelry." —honestreviewer

Get it on Amazon for $5.49.

    24. An iPhone/iPad/iPod charger cord covered in flexible woven nylon — a material that won't crack with time and use, like those notorious default cables always do.

It's fully Apple MFI certified, which means you can count on it to fully and safely charge your devices without any risk of damaging them (some third-party cords that aren't certified aren't good for the battery). Oh, AND it's THREE FEET LONG, so you don't have to unplug your phone to like, move around with it a little.

Promising review: "I bought a few different cables awhile back to see which one(s) tended to hold up under my daily iPhone 6+ use. Gotta say, this cable has shown no sign of the fraying or coming-apart on the lightning connector end other cables have. It's a bit stiffer, but I've found I like that. Yeah I'd buy this one again. I have several cats, and they haven't done any damage to this cable either. That's a first." —majormalfunction

Get it on Amazon for $9.99.

    25. A clip-on funnel so you can use every last drop of your favorite soaps, lotions, and even condiments hassle-free.

I'd recommend getting separate ones if you hope to use them for both food and soap, of course! And depending on how viscous your liquid happens to be, you may not be able to set it up and walk out of the room without it spilling everywhere — but the wide funnel will still make pouring it into a new bottle that much easier.

Promising review: "This little set up is great! I don’t splurge on a lot but I love my Philosophy body wash and Unite shampoo/conditioner. Needless to say I try everything to get every little drop but ended up frustrated having to store the bottles upside down only to have them fall off the ledge in the shower and scare the hell out of me or my family. Saw this and decided to give it a go. When I would give up previously and throw away a bottle with product inside my heart hurt, but with this gadget I get at least five to eight more showers from my body wash alone. It works on the large pump dispenser bottles as well. Easy to clean: just throw it on the top rack in the dishwasher." —doppelganger

Get it on Amazon for $9.99.

    26. A glasses cleaning cloth to hook on your keychain or backpack to easily clean your smeared glasses, camera lens, or computer screen without digging to the bottom of your bag.

The protective case keeps your microfiber cloth from picking up every piece of lint in your backpack or purse (you don't even have to stuff the fabric back in — you just pull the little string on top and it retracts).

Promising review: "I love when I spend six bucks on something and it becomes one of my prized gizmos. I'm new to wearing glasses and I was having a heck of a time keeping my glasses clean because I only need them to read, so in taking them off and on all the time I keep getting them smudgy. I knew from owning cameras that a real lens cloth does a much better job much more quickly than tissues, but I never could keep up with lens cloths between work, home, the car, etc. This thing is perfect. It clips on my bag, stays clean because of the way it zips into the little neoprene stuff sack like a little anemone. Leave a little corner hanging out and it's a snap to pull out, even with gloves on. And it gets my glasses crystal clear in just a second or two. Great product!" —mownhoj

Get it on Amazon for $3.99+.

    27. A pocket-size bottle of lock de-icer, because when Jack Frost decides to freeze up your car locks (and you don't have automatic ones), you're gonna need a legitimate backup plan quick.

Simply spray it in your lock to melt the ice, wait a minute or so, then use your key as usual.

Promising review: "As a former truck driver, I spent a lot of winter days and nights dealing with ice and its side effects. Often, ice would form in my door locks, making it impossible to even insert the key. I discovered Victor brand Lock De-Icer in a truck stop in Missoula, Montana. It not only thaws the ice in the lock, but it cleans and lubricates the lock mechanisms. I carried it in my pocket and kept extras in my glove box. I still use the product here in Florida, because it cleans out the dirt and condensation in my locks. It also works in padlocks. The only problem with it is that it is not widely distributed here in Florida." —David Bonecutter

Get it on Amazon for $5.33.

    28. A mug warmer that will ensure your coffee or tea stays drinkably heated as the months get colder...even when it takes you a few hours to finish the cup (hey, sometimes some of us get distracted with other important things).

No need to microwave it when you've forgotten about it! It also 100% works as a candle warmer.

Promising review: "So I ordered this mainly because I kept finding myself microwaving my tea 900 times a day. I was excited about this solution, and it's been great! I've been using it literally daily for about a month and a half now and I'm definitely a fan. Like previous reviewers said, it doesn't make your bev piping hot, but what I've found to be the most effective is to make sure my tea or coffee is super hot initially, and then I put it on the warmer. This way the warmer keeps the temp at a warm temp the entire time I'm drinking it, and they're no more need to nuke it. This is my first warmer, so I can't compare it to others but I'm definitely into it. One thing: some mugs don't fit on it. I find my super wide ones don't fit on the burner, but the majority of my mugs fit just fine." —Kiki

Get it on Amazon for $9.98.

    29. A wooden foot massager reviewers swear helps with their plantar fasciitis — a common cause of heel pain — but could also just give you sweet relief after a day of wearing high heels.

Promising review: "This little gadget is heavenly! I've been suffering from chronic pain on my right foot, and I couldn't figure out what was happening. I'm a server and I tend to work five to ten hour shifts, but my foot pain has been steadily decreasing since I started using this. It's super easy-to-use and, by using it maybe once or twice a day for a few minutes, I can guarantee that I have no plantar fasciitis pain." —Mia
