    1. A powerful stain remover — you simply spritz this stuff on then pretty much immediately blot it off to make all kinds of spills old and new literally vanish right before your eyes.

It works on both old and new stains (including red wine!), and on any color-safe fabric that you can safely wet with water (read: not dyed silk or wool, probs, or anything that says "dry clean only").

Promising review: "I had terrible rust and oil stains all over the seats of my car. I tried other cleaners to get them out, but they actually made the stains darker. I took it to the dealership to see if they could get it out and they flat out told me no, so I gave up and lived with it for almost five years. Then I tried this after it was recommended by a friend. I sprayed it on and literally watched the stain run right off my seat. It was amazing! I thought I was going to have to pay hundreds of dollars to replace the seats in my car because nothing else would work. This stuff really is awesome!" —Brittany

Promising review: "Like a hot knife through butter for built up hard water stains on my glass shower doors. I've tried everything and this stuff worked in two minutes. Made me a little embarrassed it took so long to find something so effective. I haven't tried it on anything else yet but I guarantee I'll be reordering just to have extra. Just can't have enough of a good thing." —Amazon Customer

    3. A daily shower spray because it only requires a few spritzes in bathtub/shower situations — and will totally block that tedious buildup on your glass-enclosed shower from reappearing, especially when you combine its powers with your favorite squeegee.

In bathtub-shower situations, you literally spray it around and leave the shower. The formula's totally biodegradable and nontoxic, so you don't have to worry about any fishies it may encounter. It also blocks mildew! If you have a glass door, follow this reviewer's advice —

Promising review: "I’ve been using this product for 10 years with great results. It keeps my shower and tubs clean. Just keep a bottle in shower/bath area and spray, no need to scrub but you must start with a clean surface first. If putting on glass shower I’d suggest squeegeeing after for steak free clean. If used it keeps surfaces clean and I only have to scrub area maybe three four times a year." —April Hill

    Scrubbing Bubbles /, Amazon

Oh, and make sure to stamp it somewhere it won't become a, well, "target" and get sprayed off before its time.

Promising review: "A lazy housekeepers best friend — these are amazing and I'm bummed I haven't tried them until now! Warning: possible TMI! We're big fans of the 'if it's yellow, let it mellow' potty practice in our home as it conserves a serious amount of water if you flush every 3-4 tinkles vs every time....anyways! These little gems are easy to use and with our limited flushing, one application tends to last around two weeks before it starts to lose its smell and effectiveness. But it has kept our bowls clean and the bathroom smelling fresh." —Stephanie

Get it from Amazon for $8.34.

    5. A stainless steel cleaner and polish because you don't like your kitchen to look like it's inhabited by Gremlins but you also don't want to take the time to do much more than spray something on then wipe it off.

Hand wiping cleaner off of fridge after one spritz

Promising review: "Perfect cleaner for my new Whirlpool stainless appliances. It also seems to make it a bit fingerprint-resistant as well. Since I cleaned my fridge down a month ago, I haven't had to do it again yet. I'm sure if I had kids it'd be a little different, but this stuff is where it's at. I've tried cheaper big-box store cleaners and they all take a lot of arm work." —William Blake Fischer

It's really nice that it comes with some spare cloths for it, and it's cheap enough to buy a whole additional set so we can make more than one kid do this chore at the same time." —R.D.

Promising review: "I was a bit skeptical about this product and the fact that it's under $10 but once I opened and used it... OMG! I have a rose de France amethyst wedding ring and the stone was so cloudy it looked terrible. I kept trying to clean it with a toothbrush and warm water/mild soap as I was instructed when it was purchased. It would get clean but I couldn't get behind the stone so it would never really look clean. I used this product and once it was rinsed and dry it looked just like the day I received it. I was so excited! Fell back in love with my ring again and can't stop looking at it. The bristles on the brush really get into the tiny holes behind the ring setting which allows for an actual scrub on the back of the stone to remove the buildup. This product is amazing." —KY Acton

Promising review: "I bought this on a whim because my walk-in shower is just a pain to clean. I'm 51 and I guess I've just been old school with how I clean, so hand scrubbing it was for years. The FIRST time I used these to clean my shower it took five minutes AND it scrubbed my shower more clean than it has been in years. In the corners, the floor, the glass door...everything came out squeaky clean. I'm NEVER cleaning my shower by hand again." —Terry

Saged Home is a small business based in Portland, Oregon that makes all kinds of reusable home products, from paperless towels to cotton rounds to fabric tissues.

Promising review: "I waited a few weeks to write a review so that I could use and wash them a few times. They are exceeding my expectations. They pick up a LOT off the ground (more than the disposable ones IMO). I was initially having trouble getting them clean in the wash until I realized the mistake I was making: I was folding them (dirty side in) when I threw into my hamper, so they were staying folded in the wash cycle. Once I remembered to unfold them for the wash, they came out sparking clean. Love how easy it was to take an every day disposable and replace it with an option that is not only sustainable, but also works better and is cost effective in the long term." —Janine LaSalle

Get the pack of six from Saged Home on Etsy for $12.50 (available in two colors, although you can only bleach the white).

    12. The Drain Weasel, which reaches down into hair-clogged drains, twists around so its micro-hooks can grab on tight, then extracts the gross slime monster that's been slowing down your sink and tub.

It works in three simple steps: insert the wand, turn the handle, then extract the clog. The handle's 100% reusable, and one order comes with five wands — which are flexible enough to negotiate bends in pipes, if that's what it takes to reach your clog.

Promising review: "Worked AMAZING for ALL OF MY DRAINS! I have been having difficulty with my bathroom tub for a little while, and a traditional snake was not fitting through the drain. I looked for something with a smaller diameter to get down deeper and pull out what I assumed was a clog of sorts. This did the trick. Then I snaked all of my other drains with it...even those that I had used a different snake for. This one pulled out more 'stuff' than the other one, and now all of my drains work perfectly." —Anthony

Get the handle and five refills on Amazon for $17.95.

    13. A pack of dishwasher tablets — you simply toss in one tablet once a month, and it'll make sure your machine gets (and stays!) just about as clean as it could possibly be.

Promising review: "Works extremely well. We haven't done any cleaning on our dishwasher in five years, and the sliding trays were tough to pull out and push in, there was detergent build up all over the inside, and there was a milky film on all our cups. I bought this, ran the dishwasher with two tablets while it was empty, and the difference was astounding. There was still some build up and I figured it would require another cycle, so I popped another two tablets in, ran the machine a second time, and now it looks and sounds brand new. No more film on the glasses, no more dirty dishes from clogged sprayers, no more odors, and no more build-up around the door seals." —Martoune

Get a box of six tablets on Amazon for $9.39.

    14. And a garbage disposal foaming cleaner that works its magic when you drop it in, run a little water, and let its fizz reach down into the depths of your pipes for you, ridding them of any built-up slime and grossness.

Note that it's best if your garbage disposal's just generally smell and not actually clogged — if it's clogged, definitely call a plumber.

Promising review: "Do you have a stinky garbage disposal? If so, get some of these. They are cheap, smell nice. and the foaming action really provides you with a visual they are cleaning the drain. After using these the garbage disposal seems smoother (fewer strange noises, like it's been lubricated). I'd recommend these over Plinks any day as I feel the Plinks only hide smells whereas these foaming packets actually clean the disposal."—Sugacookie

Get a pack of four on Amazon for $5.08.

    15. A cast-iron scrubber because why take the time to coax all the cooked-on bits out with tons of salt when you could spend just a few minutes with this, and get better results?

It's basically a small piece of metal chain mail (yes, like the knights wore!) that's dishwasher safe and doesn't require soap to scrub off all the remnants of burgers, eggs, and veggies lingering on your favorite pan. Just don't use it on any non-stick pans, of course — metal scratches 'em!

Promising review: "This has completely changed the way I use my cast iron pan. I can cook whatever I want and know the pan will be as good as new. For people that worry about the seasoning on the pan, this definitely won't hurt a thing. Once I'm done cleaning, I'll shake off any excess water and then heat it on the stove top for a minute until its completely dry. I'll then put a a very light coating of oil on it and heat it up again and the pan will be good to go for the next use. My pan has never cooked better." —Josh

Get it on Amazon for $21.99. And if you do get it, I recommend reading this review — I know it's long, but they offer some excellent advice on how to make the most of it.

    16. A classic Mr. Clean Magic Eraser — you'll see these truly live up to their name the moment you test 'em out on anything from soapscum to crayon to burnt-on stove-top gunk.

I've been using these for years, so I know: all they need is a little water, and they truly do erase all kinds of dirt and grime like it was never there!

Promising review: "I can't believe how clean I could get my non-porcelain sink with this product. I was so disgusted with trying all types of cleansers, with very mixed results. But just a wipe or two and the sink was sparkling! Next, I tackled the tub — once, no doubt, a lovely porcelain fixture but now with worn-down porcelain that wants to hold onto every smudge of dirt or stain. Again, the sponge worked! It really did clean up, if not so sparkly white. I even considered taking a bath again, which I hated to do before." —Penina

Get a pack of eight on Amazon for $10 — or if that's sold out, a pack of nine for $6.97.

    17. A patented pet hair–removing roller that you simply brush over any fabric surface to pick up basically every last bit of shedding your furry friend's always leaving in their wake.

Because it doesn't rely on adhesive paper, you only have to buy it once and use it forever! So I can tell you with resounding certainty: it works! Give it some simple back-and-forth swipes over your upholstered furniture, and it easily picks up TONS of pet hair. Promising review: "We live in a household that contains two humans, two dogs, and two cats. It's a real Noah's Ark furnished with a black sectional couch. Our dogs absolutely hate the vacuum. So much so they will attack the cleaner head with their vicious bite even before we power it on. This makes the task of cleaning our couch extremely unpleasant and nearly impossible. Thanks to Chom Chom, we no longer have this problem! With a simple, quick, SOUNDLESS sweep, we're able to keep our couch pet-hair-free in blissful peace. This tool does an amazing job picking up pet hair but not so much with crumbs. We were so impressed, we gifted these as Christmas presents for all of our pet-loving friends." —Magpie

Using the rubbery end, you can even clean off the finger-tracker; and using the little brush, you get out all those annoying little crumbs and pieces of stuff that both impede your keyboard performance and make it look dirty. I wish I would have taken before and after pictures — the difference is astonishing! I was skeptical, but this little tool is worth the price." —Amazon Customer

    20. These oversized heavy-duty cleaning wipes perfect for tough jobs big and small — it only takes a few swipes to remove grease, oil, tar, ink, paint, permanent marker, food stains, and so much more.

Promising review: "These towels are awesome for so many things. They are large and very sturdy, so they work well for household cleaning. The real benefit for me, though, is having a wipe that works for things like the grill, the oven, the dashboard of my car, muddy shoes, chairs and umbrellas that go to soccer games and practices, and lawn furniture. I frequently wipe something down, rinse the towel, and wipe again. The wipes are heavy enough to go through three to four rinses and wipes and still hold up. The smell is mild and doesn't linger on my hands or what I've wiped down. Because the canister is heavier than most, and the lid fits well, it's easy to throw one of these in the trunk or cargo area without worrying about leaks. The canister's recyclable when the towels are gone — an added bonus." —COMom
