Macklemore Said He Is The "New David Blaine Of Rap," And I Guess He's Also Beefing With David Copperfield Now

So, we're out here appropriating magic culture, too?

I can't be the only one who didn't know that Macklemore is not just a rapper — he's a full-blown magician.

The Grammy-winning artist claims that he's really good at magic, and I guess I believe him because I'm part of the annoyingly die-hard millennial fans of Harry Potter.

In an interview with the Spout podcast, the host led with, "It's pretty well-known around the world that you are a talented magician," to which Macklemore quickly responded, "This is true."

Then, Macklemore compared himself to one of the most popular magicians in the game.

“I can do a bunch of magic, dude. I’m like the new David Blaine, of rap."

Apparently, his magic skills are so fire that he's incorporating them into his music and working on a "magic album" because this is the music innovation the world is craving.

But, the magic album might not come as fast as we want.

Unfortunately, Macklemore hit a roadblock because the "magic community got pissed" and he's "trying to work it out with legal."

He finished saying, "David Copperfield is really, like, getting in the way of me executing that."

In response to the supposed beef, the podcast host said, "It's understandable because you're a big threat to that community," and Macklemore once again confidently responded, "I am."

So, either this is a joke that's going way over my head, or Macklemore will be pulling rabbits from hats like when he won the 2014 Grammy for Best Rap Album.

Spoiler Alert: I'm a Kendrick Lamar fan.
