People Are Calling Out 50 Cent After He Backtracked His Stance On Not Believing Megan Thee Stallion During The Tory Lanez Shooting Trial

The apology is a day late and a DOLLAR short.

50 Cent is chiming in on Megan Thee Stallion's shooting case again, but this time it's not a diss.

“I’m gonna apologize to Megan Thee Stallion,” he said during a segment on Big Boy's Neighborhood.

This revelation comes after a jury "convicted rapper Tory Lanez on all counts in the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion," as reported by BuzzFeed News.

Now, after two years of Megan expressing her truth to the public through music, sharing medical reports, police reports, and an entire legal battle — 50 Cent realizes that she was telling the truth.

50 Cent smiles during a radio interview

“I said some things, and it was because…on social media, I posted things that — when she was with Gayle [King] — she said, 'Were you intimate with Tory Lanez?' And she said, 'What?' and it was like, 'No.' And I was like, 'Ah, she lying.'"

Instead of recognizing the violent crime that occurred, 50 Cent and an unfortunate number of men focused on her veiled response regarding her intimacy with Tory. "At that point, I knew she was lying. It wouldn't be no reason for them to be around each other. From that, it felt like she was lying, to me," he said.

"The only reason why I feel like I should, like, at some point you should apologize — I should apologize to her — because um, when I heard the phone conversation that made me feel like oh shit, now I know what happened."

In other words, it wasn't Megan's statements or Tory's guilty verdict that changed his mind, it was after he distinctly heard Tory's comments in the released phone conversation.

Here's what folks on Twitter had to say about 50's new "apology":

50 Cent saying “I wouldn’t have done if I knew you were really hurt” in his “apology” to Megan is wild. She was shot twice... how would she literally not be hurt by that? Him saying that shows how Black Women are never seen as vulnerable or victims.

@Phil_Lewis_ It’s so weird to think that so many people grow up and are still immature at their big age. Trying to equate her not wanting her sexual history out to her “lying” about being shot; while tory has had a very candid history of lying & being violent but that fails to he remembered.

@Phil_Lewis_ It's not really an apology because he's not sorry for what he said. He's sorry that evidence proved he was wrong.

@Phil_Lewis_ I don’t understand someone who has been shot 9 times has no compassion for someone shot ??

@Phil_Lewis_ Why did she have to admit she slept with him? 🥷🏾 do it all the time lie. This shouldn’t have been a reason someone doubted her. It’s cool to apologize but the damage already done…

@Phil_Lewis_ An attempt, this the most 50 has ever apologized…ever and he did a lot of people bad bro. This like a blessing from the pope 😂
