World-building and the premise of 'The Old Guard' are far more successful than execution itself. Netflix's new action movie is based on a comic of the same name, written by the duo Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernández , who have already written stories for pop culture icons like Deadpool, Punisher and even Wonder Woman., that is, it is evident that his fantasy story is nothing more than a superhero movie.
