James Holmes, the 24-year-old San Diego native in custody for the deadly shooting inside a Colorado movie theater showing "The Dark Knight Rises," early Friday morning, reportedly told authorities upon his arrest that he was "The Joker."Holmes had also dyed his hair to look like The Joker, a villain in the Batman series, who featured prominently in the prior "Dark Knight" film, according to ABC News, who say they confirmed the details of Holmes' Joker "costume" with federal law enforcement officials.In "The Dark Knight," the Joker was played by Heath Ledger; in the 1989 "Batman" film the character was played by Jack Nicholson.Details have also emerged about the weapons used in the brutal shooting, which has left 12 dead and dozens of people wounded. "Police said the weapons used in the massacre include a military-style AR-15 assault rifle, a shotgun and two handguns."After entering the theater from the emergency exit, and tossing a canister containing some kind of gas, the suspect opened fire on the crowd. Witnesses say they heard 20-30 rounds fired.
