Drakensberg mountains

Drakensberg (English the Drakensberg, Afrique Drakensberge, Ukhahlamba Zulu, Sesotho Maluti or Maloti..) - Mountain system located in the territory of South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland. Drakensberg Mountains - the highest mountain range in Africa. Its name derives from the numerous ravines, ridges, caves and ledges. The highest point - Mount Thabana-Ntlenyana (3482 m) in Lesotho. Minerals discovered in this mountain system: platinum, manganese ore, gold, coal, tin ore and others. The diverse flora and fauna of the Drakensberg Mountains is presented, including rare or endemic species. Much of the mountain is included in the Drakensberg Park - a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.
