Died first commander of the "Buran" space shuttle pilot unit

Hero of the Soviet Union Igor Volk, the first commander of the cosmonaut corps, ready to fly to the Soviet reusable space shuttle "Buran", has died in Moscow January 3, 2017 by 80-year life. This was reported by the urban district Zhukovsky official portal. Causes of death of a famous test pilot, former head of flight test center of the Gromov Flight Research Institute, were not disclosed.
