Response to 37 Things You’ll Regret When You’re Old:
Please, young people, take it from an old person - this is all true. Also, take the time to write down whatever random recollection an older relative has about your family. You think now that your superior memory will last forever & that you will never forget what s/he said, but you will eventually forget, & when you are old & your genealogy is lost to you, you will wish desperately that you had recorded all the information you had about your relations. If it isn’t important now, as you age, your family history will become more meaningful. Label photographs well too. This too – in a movie or TV episode (can’t remember which, haha) – a character said that life is about avoiding regrets. That might be the wisest bid of dialog ever.
I laughed ‘til I cried. Thanks guys.
To pretend so many magnificent creatures should compete for approval according to the standards of puny humans is indefensible. This isn’t cruel, it is an insane fantasy.

The principal salesman, a man of no morals whatsoever, of a brand of snake oil croaks & his product founders. This is to be expected.
