We challenged people to capture one moment in their pocket of Mumbai in a single photograph using the Moto G by Motorola.
"Bandra is a beautiful place to live. It has a little bit of everything, from restaurants that are open till the wee hours of the morning, to the most happening nightlife, to the quiet serenity of a suburban life. The by-lanes here are the best part of the locality, big enough for cars to pass, but small enough that they prefer not to. The peaceful life of not living on a main road is unparalleled, and I wouldn't trade it for the world."
– Andre B., Bandra West, Mumbai
"I love walking down my lane on the rare occasions when I'm not lazing in bed. It's quiet, surrounded by trees and generally very feel good."
– Sahil Rizwan, Mahim, Mumbai
"I love the fact that this street is not crowded or loud even at peak hours. It's always easy to walk to the nearby market as it is well lit and is in a purely residential area."
Arundhati, Santa Cruz West, Mumbai
"My family has been living here since the '70s and the lane has almost always looked the same. The lane winds down towards my building and it cuts you off from the rest of the city, even though we're on the main road. Walking back home is the best time of the day, really."
– Sonia Thomas, Andheri East.
It's tough to believe that this quiet, green road is just a few meters away from the the longest and most congested road in the western suburbs of Mumbai. I also love my lane because it's protected by number of street dogs who accompany you till you catch a rickshaw. Which maaaaayyyyyy be terrifying to people who are scared of dogs.
– Nirali Shah, Santa Cruz West, Mumbai
I like walking out of my gully every morning because there's a wide open maidan up front, and it's almost always nice and sunny. It isn't a very busy lane, but that's kind of how I like it – all chilled out and joyful.
– Shayan Roy, Oshiwara, Mumbai
"Even though I live verrrryyy close to main road, which is always bustling with traffic, people and loud honks, the fact that I can get coffee just around the street pretty much makes up for it.'
– Shalini Saigal, Juhu Tara Road, Mumbai
"I might seem a little biased in saying this but I do feel my gully is the best gully. Not only is there no traffic making it extremely peaceful throughout the day, but it also leads to a beautiful beach!"
– Neha Chugh, Juhu, Mumbai
