Hollywood has a LONG way to go in terms of representation. Many Latinx characters — if they're included at all — often follow tired stereotypes.
But there are some shows and movies that feature incredible and realistic Latinx characters that can make you feel seen.
Maybe you saw yourself in Jane Villanueva from Jane the Virgin because you also want to become a novelist, and you'd never seen a Latinx character on TV become an author before.
Perhaps you're ambitious and have big dreams for yourself, so Amy Santiago on Brooklyn Nine-Nine holds a special place in your heart.
Or maybe you watched Santana Lopez from Glee come out and pursue a relationship with Brittany, and that was what inspired you to live your truth.
