I Watched "Frozen" For The First Time Ever, And I Have A Lot To Say About It

    Unless you've been living under a rock for the past seven years, you've heard of the Disney movie Frozen. It won dozens of awards, inspired thousands of Halloween costumes, and even made it onto mainstream radio for a while.

    I'd obviously heard the "Let It Go" song before, but I never took the time to see the movie. Well, I finally got around to watching the film that everyone's been raving about for years! Here are my thoughts:

    1. This little girl is a troublemaker.

    Disney

    If my sibling dared to wake me at the crack of dawn, they'd get a pillow in the face.

    2. Anna does not know how to listen! Girl better learn quick with a powerful sister like that.

    Elsa clearly yells at Anna to wait and slow down. Sorry, but this is 100% Anna's fault.

    3. "Okay, bye" is possibly the funniest line of any Disney song ever.

    Elsa understandably doesn't want to build a snowman, but they wrote Anna's sad response into the song??! This is hilarious!

    4. Dead parents only 10 minutes into the movie?! Typical Disney.

    5. Finally, a princess who wakes up like a real person instead of a doll.

    This is honestly such accurate representation of my bed head.

    6. Anna is getting MARRIED?! To a man she just met?

    Does anyone else feel like this is a little ridiculous?

    They own this whole castle. They could just go speak privately in a different room so why is Anna making a scene in the middle of the party?

    8. Why doesn't Elsa have bodyguards?

    She’s rich enough to pay some buff dude to protect her from the crowds. Seems like a massive oversight to me.

    9. "Let It Go" is my new jam.

    OMG I can see now why this song became so famous. Her confidence? Her outfit change? Her dope castle? LOVE IT.

    10. This Kristoff character is surprisingly sassy, but I ain't mad at him.

    The landscapes are legit stunning.

    When Kristoff sees the beautiful ice palace, he says, "I might cry." Anna replies, "Go ahead. I won't judge." How progressive!

    14. Anna doesn't listen so she gets hurt. Again. When will this girl learn??

    Anna bombards Elsa with demands when her sister is clearly emotional. Anna's gotta learn to respect some boundaries.

    15. This ginormous snow monster is a bit much.

    Why does Elsa think a dangerous monster is the best way to protect Anna?

    16. Aww the trolls trying to marry Anna and Kristoff is actually the sweetest thing ever.

    This wedding attire is actually fire.

    17. Wouldn't these guys go to jail forever for killing Elsa?

    I feel like their plan is very short-sighted.

    18. GASP! Hans turning out to be the bad guy is the greatest betrayal since Scar from The Lion King.

    OH MY GOODNESS. I was not expecting this at all! This is a betrayal I will never recover from.

    19. Anna has to choose between a man and her sister, and she makes the right choice!! Yasss, girl!

    20. Not gonna lie, Anna makes a beautiful ice sculpture.

    21. Elsa's powers are finally doing some good for a change.

    I love this. Both sisters save each other. Talk about girl power!

    22. Shouldn't Elsa have thought of love earlier?

    Love is always the answer, duh.

    23. Anna punching Hans in the face is my favorite part of the movie, hands down.

    Yes!! Hans deserves this and more.

    24. Kristoff asks permission before he kisses Anna, and props to Disney for sending this message.

    25. This movie ending with Elsa and Anna is EVERYTHING.

    The film could have finished with Anna and Kristoff's kiss, but Frozen reminds us this movie is about the ladies, not the fellas.

    Frozen turned out to be a much better movie than I imagined. I cannot overstate how much I LOVE the scene where Kristoff asks for Anna's consent. And the emphasis on sister-love over boyfriend-love is a beautiful message. I understand now why Frozen took the world by storm, or rather, by snow.
