Bob Dylan Paid Tribute To Tom Petty With This Live Rendition Of "Learning To Fly" And My Soul Literally Hurts

"So I've started out for god knows where / I guess I'll know when I get there."

You know Bob Dylan. Nobel laureate, voice of a generation, originator of not giving a fuck:

No but seriously, could he give any less fucks? Your hipster ex can not even compete.

Well, Saturday night the folk legend performed in Broomfield, Colorado, and in an unusual detour from his setlist, he and his band broke into Tom Petty's "Learning to Fly."

After Petty passed away on Oct. 2, Dylan told Rolling Stone: "It's shocking, crushing news. I thought the world of Tom. He was a great performer, full of the light, a friend, and I’ll never forget him."

The late Petty and Dylan were bandmates in the '80s supergroup the Traveling Wilburys, and Friday would have marked Petty's 67th birthday.

It's OK, Bob, we all miss him.

    No, YOU are crying.
