This Instagram Model Will Make You Fall In Love With Her Unibrow

    When I hear the word "unibrow" and "woman" in the same sentence, I instantly think of legendary Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

    She was the epitome of "marching to the beat of her own drum," challenging social and political norms through her physical appearance, actions, and paintings.

    And then of course there's Helga Pataki from Hey Arnold! I'd be doing my childhood a disservice if I didn't mention her and that iconic brow.

    Well, there's another fierce female who's been embracing the beauty in her monobrow and we can't get enough of it! Meet Sophia Hadjipanteli:

    She's a model and college student who's gained a lot of popularity on Instagram, due to her thick, full eyebrow.

    And according to a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, the Cyprian social media star is all about spreading body-positivity with the #UnibrowMovement.

    "I am not really doing this to show people that they have to like my unibrow, I am more so doing it to show people that they can get on with their lives by having a preference."

    "I personally think my face looks better this way. Others disagree, and that’s totally cool. I am not trying to get anyone on the unibrow bandwagon. If I like this, just let me like this."

    Sophia told the magazine she has genetics to thank for her fabulous thick eyebrows, especially her mom. So, she never really felt self-conscious about them.

    However, the natural blonde did admit to tinting her brows to achieve the standout look. She also rubs castor oil on her orbital bone to help the hair grow in thicker and stronger.

    But despite having a huge social following, Sophia still gets hit with negative comments: "I have a unibrow because it is a preference," Sophia wrote. "Don't put me in a bubble. Just because I embrace one natural part of me doesn't mean I'm a hypocrite for wanting to enhance other parts of who I am."

    But she's not really phased by all that. The marketing student doesn't plan on changing her look anytime soon.

    "I want to be sure that I am not defined by the way I look right now. I look at my unibrow like it's winged eyeliner or red lipstick."

    "In five years I might look back and think, that was a cool phase! But until people start to accept others for this specific feature on their face, I won't feel ready to move on from it."
