Nearly a year after rumors surfaced that she was secretly engaged to Tom Cruise, Elisabeth Moss decided to set the record straight.
The Invisible Man star recently stopped by Watch What Happens Live! to discuss her new film and answer fan questions alongside co-star Aldis Hodge.
One caller was curious to know how she reacted when gossip magazines claimed she was getting married to Tom Cruise, and Elisabeth didn't hold back.
"I actually was confused. I mainly got texts from people being like, ‘I didn’t know. Why didn’t you tell me?’"
"And just confusion from my friends, but mainly poking fun at it 'cause obviously they knew it wasn’t true.”
To make matters worse, Elisabeth said one of the gossip magazines photophopped her face onto another person's body to make it seem like she was with Tom.
Elisabeth and Tom have been romantically linked in the past solely due to their involvement with the Church of Scientology, but it has remained clear that they were not, and are not, involved.
Aldis later joked, saying that was a sign that she finally made it in Hollywood. Once they make up a fake marriage story, you've hit it big, he claimed.
