Bella Thorne Said She Was Sexually And Physically Abused Until She Was 14

"I didn't know the person sneaking into my bed room at night was a bad person."

Bella Thorne took a stand with the men and women at the Golden Globes supporting the Time's Up campaign when she posted a very candid Instagram caption about her own experience with sexual abuse.

The 20-year-old actor shared this image on Sunday, revealing her sexual abuse began when she was younger and didn't stop until she was a teenager.

"I was sexually and physically abused growing up," Bella wrote. "From the day I can remember till I was 14..."

"...when I finally had the courage to lock my door at night and sit by it."

"All damn night. Waiting for someone to take advantage of my life again."

"Over and over I waited for it to stop and finally it did. But some of us aren't as lucky to get out alive."

Bella then encouraged her followers to unite against injustice. "Please today stand up for every soul Mistreated. #timesup."

She later posted that same Instagram image on Twitter, but with a different caption: "I never knew what was right or wrong growing up..I didn't know the person sneaking into my bed room at night was a bad person."

But this isn't the first time the Famous in Love star spoke out about her sexual abuse. Just last month on Twitter, Bella revealed she was molested.

Bella spoke out about it after posting the following tweet...

...when a fan commented on the tweet, saying this:

@bellathorne What did Disney do to this girl?! I think she was molested

    To which Bella replied:

Yeah I was. So it wasn't Disney https://t.co/rXasG4pqov

So far, Bella has not named the person she says molested her or gone into detail about what happened. BuzzFeed has reached out to her representatives for more information.
