This Is Why Online Universities Are Way Better Than On-Campus Programs

This one goes out to everyone who hates the idea of going around in a circle and waiting for your turn to introduce yourself to a class full of strangers on the first day of the semester.

It’s officially December, which means we’re closing in toward the end of the fall semester. If you’re a student who literally hates going to class every day or you’ve already graduated but you’re interested in going back to school in the spring, there’s another better option for you… and that option is getting your degree online.

Here’s why online universities are way better than on-campus programs:

You can take and finish the program on your own terms.

Online degree programs are way more flexible and forgiving when it comes to getting your education. Especially for parents and full-time employees, fitting school into your already busy schedule can be a huge challenge. No matter where you are or what time you can sign on, your classwork is available and waiting for you as long as you have a wi-fi connection. Earn that degree at your own pace and on your own terms!

They’re more accommodating for people who don’t want the “college experience.”

You don’t have to waste gas money or time driving to school every day.

Save your time and money as a student by eliminating the whole “getting ready, driving to and from, and sitting in class four or five days a week” routine. It doesn’t matter what you look like or how much gas you have in your tank when you enroll in an online degree program. You can take classes whenever and however you can manage to squeeze them into your plans.

Tons of accredited universities offer online programs.

Want to study web design and development? Creative writing? Marketing and business? Speech communications? No matter what your interests are, there’s a legitimate college program for you out there offered by a real institution.

Not too sure what to do or where to (virtually) go? Maryville University offers a super cool and engaging post which details how to determine the best online degree program according to your interests, schedule, budget, and other important things to consider (check it out below).

Online programs can be way cheaper than on-campus ones.

Believe it or not, you can actually save money by getting your education online. Traditional college programs are more expensive for a bunch of reasons. They have to tack on expenses and fees for the textbooks and resources you’d typically use while on school grounds and in their classrooms. Taking classes online instead is more cost-effective for students... and better for all of the other reasons listed above!

So what are you waiting for? You have no excuse not to enroll in a college program when it’s as awesome as it is to get your degree online. No matter how you decide to do it, go get your education on.
