15 Things You Might Have Missed In The Monsters U Trailer

The brand new trailer for Disney Pixar's Monsters University just dropped, and it's filled with tantalizing new details. See if you noticed all of the new monsters and their voices, or a few major plot hints.

1. There's a ton of new characters with well-known people voicing them, like Charlie Day.

Charlie Day, most know for It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is voicing this purple u-shaped monster named Art, a "mysterious monster with a questionable background," who is a new age philosophy major (whatever that means in the monster world).

2. Nathan Fillion.

The Firefly and Castle star voices Johnny Worthington III, a confident monster in charge of the most respected frat on campus. Here he is telling Mike he should probably hang out with some monsters more on his level.

3. Aubrey Plaza.

The Parks and Rec star voices Claire Wheeler, the choker-sporting president of the Greek Council.

4. Alfred Molina and Helen Mirren!

The accomplished actor who made his debut in Raiders of the Lost Ark voices the excitable Professor Knight. And then Academy Award winner Dame Helen Mirren makes an imposing appearance as the voice of legendary scarer Dean Hardscrabble, the dean of the School of Scaring.

5. We've got our first look at this Monsters party game:

Not quite 100% sure how this works yet, but we're loving another look at the Monsters U college experience.

6. And "The Toxicity Challenge".

The new trailer introduces us to the Scare Games and we spotted the name for one of the events.

7. We've got some returning Monsters! Like Randall:

Still voiced by Steve Buscemi, in his college days he was better known as "Randy."

8. and George Sanderson:

Making a VERY brief appearance in the Tic-Tac-Pong scene: the Monster who found himself inadvertently in possession of a sock in Monsters Inc. and was immediately shaved by CDA agents.

9. We might be seeing more of the monsters back in our world…

Looks like doors lead to more places than just bedrooms.

10. ...and The School Of Door Technology.

Maybe we'll see how these things work!

11. And a CDA agent makes a brief appearance.

Cutting through a door, what could be going on here?

12. Some Pixar alums provide voices too, like the voice of Emile from Ratatouille.

Peter Sohn will voice this new monster named Scott "Squishy" Squibbles. Looks like we'll be meeting his family, too.

13. Looks like Sulley and Mike wind up in the same frat, despite their initial differences.

We know they'll be friends by the end, so that's no surprise.

14. Did You See The Easter Egg in Mike's Room?

We spotted a scare canister on the comforter and the "Little Mikey" stuffed Monster used to calm down Boo in Monsters, Inc. on the shelf!

15. It's in theaters June 21st!

In case you were too distracted by all the new stuff to notice the release date. It can't get here fast enough!
