At its longest, the protest measured about 6km (3.7 miles).

Many students sported the red square, symbol of the protest.
Green: 420 000, students in Québec province
Yellow: 316 000, students on strike
Bright red: more than 200 000 students involved in the protest
Red: 100 000 students, maximum expected to participate in the event
Dark red: 50 000 students, minimum expected to participate in the event
When the protest reached the middle of street “E-F”, there was still people at point “A”, waiting to start the walk.
