11 Awesome Things To Do In Fall You've Never Heard Of

Fall is such a beautiful time of year, get out and try some new things while enjoying the weather and beauty while you can!

So you've heard of the Farmer's Market, but have you been there?

Every Farmer's Market is unique to the local area, and many vendors carry unique products you've never seen or heard of before. Check out your local farmer's market to find some veggies, decorative fall gourds/pumpkins, breads, plants/bouquets, and many other foods and items you've never seen before, while helping your local farmers/economy. If you already go to a farmer's market in your city, check out a different one nearby. You'd be surprised what you can find between different vendors!

Zombie Hunt

A new fall attraction that's been popping up is Zombie Hunts, where you can pay to ride a hay rack and shoot people dressed up as zombies with paintball guns. (P.S. this could be a thrilling fall date idea!)

Fall Festivals

There are TONS of different fall festivals out there, depending on your local area. One example my from area is the Apple Jack Festival, a festival surrounded by all things apple. From picking apples, to hard cider beer gardens, it's a great way to get out and enjoy some fall activities with friends or family.

Pumpkin Face Mask

Feel like staying in and relaxing, but want to stay in the fall spirit? Try a pumpkin face mask or scrub! Puree the insides of the pumpkin, add a bit of honey, massage onto your face, leave it on for 20 minutes, and rinse. For a face scrub, follow the same instructions but add either regular or brown sugar and a bit of almond oil, massage gently on your face&/or body, and rinse.

Take a hike and watch the migrations

The duck and geese migration is in full swing with the coming of cold weather, find a lake or river in your local area to watch the beautiful formations of birds pass by overhead, or land in the water next to you! Pack a picnic, take a day hike, or bring some blankets to cozy up and observe the phenomenon by the water.

Host Friendsgiving

Sure you have Thanksgiving with your family, but have you had Friendsgiving? Friendsgiving is when you and all your friends get together, make a bunch of food, and have your own family meal among friends you could consider family. Is your family Thanksgiving a little stiff? Loosen up with your friends at Friendsgiving! Maybe you don't like stuffing? Make Mac N Cheese or whatever you want instead at Friendsgiving!

Octoberfest

Sure you've heard of Oktoberfest, the grand beer festival in Germany, but did you know there are many local celebrations of Oktoberfest as well? There are not only local festivals but many restaurants, bars, or other organizations that organize Oktoberfest celebrations as well!

Cook or Bake some unique fall foods!

Ever tried sweet potato and apple soup? How about acorn squash and goat cheese? Caramel apple brioche? Lasagna stuffed spaghetti squash? Pumpkin cheesecake sound good? The list is endless! Try some new recipes with in season fall foods to spice up your fall.

Whip up some unique fall cocktails!

Ever had a pear & ginger cocktail? An apple cider bellini? A cranberry moscow mule? Shake up some new tasty beverages for you and your friends to enjoy the lovely fall season.

Collect maple syrup from a maple tree

There are many farms you visit that allow you to collect your own maple syrup! See first hand the process of gathering maple syrup and feel that much more satisfied putting it on your waffles knowing you gathered it yourself and had a great new experience!
