Guy Fieri, host of Food Network's Diners, Dive-Ins & Dives officiated a free wedding ceremony for 101 same-sex couples at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival this weekend in Miami.

Smith chose the number 101 as a reference to the Disney film, 101 Dalmatians, throwing shade to the villain of Florida's marriage equality movement, Attorney General Pam Bondi.

In an interview with The Miami Herald, the chef celebrated the event's success while stressing its social importance.

"There are still people, people around our country, who still don't have the rights. It's important we show the utmost respect and encouragement to these young couples who want to be married. And why not marry them in style?"
