As some of you may know, there's been a lot of talk lately about how Mariah Carey *can't sing.* That talk is frankly just that: "talk." Haters, I'm SO SORRY, but you're wrong. Mariah can SING, and I have the modern-day proof.
First off, here she is at the 2016 Essence Festival singing "Emotions," the song she was supposed to sing on New Year's Eve. Killing it.
This was just a few weeks ago, Mariah ad-libbing with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live. Beautiful.
Here she is in June 2016 singing the other song she was supposed to sing on New Year's, "We Belong Together." Also killing it.
This is just beautiful. Here she is rehearsing for her 2016 European tour.
The queen of Christmas INVENTING her own Christmas song. This is really good. Don't skip.
Here's a performance from 2013 that's too good not to include on this list.
Ballads? No problem. Here's "My All" live in 2016. Flawless.
"Hero" live in 2016. Very pretty!
"Love Takes Time" from Vegas in 2016. Stunning!
"Vision of Love" live in 2016. Also nice!
Again, queen of Christmas owning an a cappella version of "Joy to the World."
Dedicating "One Sweet Day" to Prince.
And last but not least, one more excellent performance of "My All."
Mariah is a vocal legend. End of story. LET'S MOVE ON.
