Get these songs into your life immediately. Or don't and have a shitty summer.

1. "Sexual Healing" by Kygo and Marvin Gaye

Kygo's remixes literally get me through every workday. I was skeptical about this particular one, but give it a shot. It's chill AF. I don't know how you couldn't like it (unless you're a monster).

2. "Colors" by Vérité

I've been obsessed with Vérité for months now. "Strange Enough" is my winter jam. "Colors" is my summer jam. Get on it!

3. "Runaway (U & I)" by Galantis

View this video on YouTube

Perfect gym song. If I was into ~clubbin~, this would be my jam.

4. "Hold Me Down" by Halsey

Halsey is so hot right now. Her new album comes out in August and she describes it as an "angry feminist record." I can't wait.

5. "All Hands on Deck (Giraffage Remix)" by Tinashe

I needed a song by Tinashe on this summer playlist, and this new remix of "All Hands on Deck" is perfect.

6. "Talking Body (Gryffin Remix)" by Tove Lo

If you've burned out on the original "Talking Body" then this remix should be a good substitute.

7. "Try Me" by Jason Derulo and Jennifer Lopez

View this video on YouTube

Surprisingly good. This has quickly become one of my absolute favorites of the summer.

8. "You Don't Own Me" by Grace feat. G-Eazy

Grace is a spot-on Lesley Gore. This is a perfect sing-along. I feel like a stronger woman every time I listen to it.

9. "Pity Party" by Melanie Martinez

View this video on YouTube

It's like the summer of Lesley Gore or something. This is a much darker version of "It's My Party." The video is creepy and brilliant AF. Melanie Martinez is a genius.

10. "Old Thing Back" by Matoma & The Notorious B.I.G.

This is what would have sounded like if Biggie collab'd with one of those EDM producer people back in the day.

11. "The Night Is Still Young" by Nicki Minaj

It's like a combo of "Super Bass" and "Starships." If I were graduating middle school then this would be my song of summer.

12. "High" by Zella Day

Like the precursor to Tove Lo's "Habits."

13. "Come Back to Me" by Urban Cone feat. Tove Lo

Perfect beach song. A Tove Lo feature is always an added plus.

14. "Money All Around" by Holychild

View this video on YouTube

The closest thing to Charli XCX since actual Charli XCX.

15. "I'm Good" by The Mowgli's

If I had a convertible I would play this song in my convertible and feel really good.

16. "Invincible" by Kelly Clarkson

A great addition to Kelly's ~fight songs~ like "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)," "Breakaway," and "Since U Been Gone."

17. "Here" by Alessia Cara

View this video on YouTube

Literally a song about introverts at parties. I've had it on repeat for days.

18. "Do What You Like" by Taio Cruz

View this video on YouTube

Remember that guy who sang that "Dynamite" song? This is his new song, definitely inspired by Michael Jackson.

19. "Sparks" by Hilary Duff

Songs with whistles >>>> songs without whistles.

20. "Tom's Diner" by Giorgio Moroder and Britney Spears

Skip "Pretty Girls" and listen to "Tom's Diner." A worthy (for real!!) tribute to Suzanne Vega. I would die if they made a music video for this. Can you imagine Dinerney?!

21. "I'm Gonna Show You Crazy" by Bebe Rexha

Bebe is on that David Guetta song with Nicki Minaj that's really big right now, total trash. This is so much better than that.

22. "Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better)" by Felix Jaehn feat. Jasmine Thompson

View this video on YouTube

Jasmine Thomas is 14 years old. Her voice sounds about 10 years older than that, like a better Ellie Goulding. This lounge-y dance mix of her cover of Chaka Kahn's "Ain't Nobody" is my 7 p.m. on a humid night go-to.

23. "Single for the Summer" by Sam Hunt

Sam Hunt is about as country as Shania Twain (in the late '90s) was country...aka not at all. The subject is country AF but the beat is total pop. I'm in love with Sam Hunt.

24. "Coming With You" by Ne-Yo

This song could have been released in 1997 and that's totally fine.

25. "Beginning at the End" by Samsaya

BRB crying. Only 11,000 views on YouTube. Listen to it before it's not cool anymore.

26. "Right Here, Right Now" by Giorgio Moroder feat. Kylie Minogue

No idea why this song isn't smashing. Add this to your gym playlist.

27. "Dead" by Phoebe Ryan

Airy AF. Everyone needs a little more Phoebe Ryan in their lives.

28. "Force of Nature" by Bea Miller

Beatrice Miller is iconic for being on X-Factor and wearing a YOLO hat. She's also a great singer! Slay a bit, Bea.

29. "I'm in Love With My Life" by Phases

View this video on YouTube

I feel better after listening to this song.

30. "Ghost Town" by Adam Lambert

Better than Madonna's. I've never been a big Adam Lambert fan, but I'm on board for this one.

31. "Are You With Me" by Lost Frequencies

View this video on YouTube

The weirdest song on the list. It's only about two minutes long and is about drinking margaritas. Basically, it's my anthem.

32. "Lonely Town" by Brandon Flowers

View this video on YouTube

ADD THIS SONG TO YOUR PARTY PLAYLIST IMMEDIATELY! And yes, this is the guy from The Killers.

33. "Cool" by Alesso feat. Roy English

This samples my favorite Kylie Minogue song from the past 10 years: "Get Outta My Way." Instant A+.

34. "Girl Crush" by Little Big Town

View this video on YouTube

The country crossover the world has been waiting for from Little Big Town! Truly a beautiful song.

35. "Careless" by Alex Winston

View this video on YouTube

FINALLY some new music from Alex Winston! If you haven't listened to Alex Winston before then WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING WITH YOUR LIFE?!

36. "Black Magic" by Little Mix

View this video on YouTube

SUCH. A. BOP. The boppiest of bops on this list.

37. "New Romantics" by Taylor Swift

I am putting this on this list in hopes that it becomes the next single from 1989. We deserve it.

38. "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten

This summer's "Brave."

39. "I'll Wait for You" by Iris

View this video on YouTube

Not sure how this has only 19,000 views on YouTube, but holy shit, this has quickly become a staple for my ~Saturday nights~.

40. "Better in the Morning" by Little Boots

Samples "Genius of Love," which makes it instantly iconic. You will feel better after listening to this song. Also there's a new Little Boots album coming out in August!
