Having a baby is a profound, life-affirming experience.

It can also be an overwhelming one, so much so that sometimes you wonder how the heck you’re going to make it to the next day.

If you’re lucky, you learn some “new parent survival tips,” like that the best time to cut your baby’s nails is twenty minutes after they’ve fallen asleep.

Your baby will be in a deep sleep, and you will be able to trim their nails without any squirming.

Or that you should stash extra diapers in your car because at some point you WILL forget to bring some.
