If you’ve been following the seemingly never-ending onslaught of legal drama surrounding former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez, the description of this item might make you cringe: Aaron Hernandez Signed Autographed White Jersey! Patriots! WOW! RARE! JSA!*
This signed Hernandez jersey, which has 12 bids so far (bidding war!), will actually have to eclipse $1,200 to beat out a Hernandez jersey that sold yesterday on the site. There are at least 28 Patriots jerseys bearing Hernandez’s No. 81 – and a couple from his University of Florida playing days – listed on eBay right now, but most have zero bids.
The Patriots announced last week that on July 6 and 7 the team will hold a jersey exchange allowing fans to trade in Hernandez jerseys for those of any other player on the team, free of charge.
*NOTE: JSA stands for James Spence Autograph Authentication and Grading. Man, this story.
