A federal judge denied Dzhokhar's Tsarnaev's request on Wednesday to move his trial out of Boston. The court did move the trial start from November 2014 to January 2015 after Tsarnaev's lawyers argued that they needed more time.
U.S. District Court Judge George O'Toole rejected Tsarnaev's lawyers' argument that the high degree of media coverage would prevent their client from getting a fair trial in the state of Massachusetts.
Tsarnaev's lawyers also requested a 10-month delay in the trial that was scheduled to begin on Nov. 3, citing a need for more time to do discovery. The decision to delay the start until January 2015 gives both sides two additional months to prepare.
