Down the road from Coffin Sally you'll find Bank St + Co, a little cafe which absolutely screams Melbourne. The food is delicious, everything is Instagram-worthy, and you're guaranteed to leave absolutely stuffed to the brim.

15. Stop in at Uncle Jack's on your way to The Great Ocean Road.

Ok, so Ocean Grove might not technically be on The Great Ocean Road, but if you're coming from Melbourne, it's well worth the stop. Honestly, the chilli scramble alone will make you want to swing by on the way back.

16. Bask in the beauty of the Erskine River while eating at the Swingbridge Cafe.

In Lorne, just where the river meets the sea is Swingbridge, a tiny cafe that you'll miss if you blink. But make sure you don't miss it because the food, which has an Argentinian-twist is something you'll find nowhere else on the drive.

17. And end your trip with a nice glass of wine and a plate of fish 'n' chips at House of Jack Rabbit.

Located in Bellarine, Jack Rabbit is just 45 minutes away from the start of The Great Ocean Road, or the end of it, if you're driving it both ways. Regardless, the views (and the delicious wine) from the vineyard are well worth the pit stop.
