America Found Out About Potato Scallops And Of Course They Ruined Them

This is an attack against Australia.

Welcome. Quick! Sit down. We must talk potatoes.

Every good Aussie knows there's just about nothing better than a golden, crunchy potato scallop from the fish 'n' chip shop.

And sure, while we might debate the name of the great potato snack amongst ourselves, we're at least united on one thing...

...we would never call them Australian Battered Potatoes, which is what they're doing in the US.

But the most disturbing part? Americans are out there slathering our great scallops in ranch and cheese.

I don’t want to upset anybody but I just found out that you can buy potato scallops at county fairs in the US but they call them “Australian battered potatoes” and they put cheese and ranch dressing on them. https://t.co/EgLMxRTr2I

Yeah...turns out ranch and cheesed-up potato scallops are a big thing at American fairs.

More fair food. Australian battered potatoes with ranch and cheese #OCFair

And people seem to LOVE them.

First fair food: Australian battered potatoes. Yes that is ranch and cheese sauce

Is there that MN State Fair food that pushed you over the edge & now you can't eat it again? For me, it's Australian battered potatoes.

As for me? I am personally offended.
