Over the weekend the hashtag, #whitegirlsdoitbetter, started to trend on Twitter. It originally began as, what can only be assumed to be, a hashtag for 'white girls' to assert their feelings of supremacy over people of colour.
This quickly backfired, with people of colour catching onto the hashtag. Responses started to flood the hashtag, and we found out what people of colour actually thought white girls did better.
However, there were some level-headed people that were against the pitting of the two altogether. Instead, they suggested the support for all women, regardless of race.
The solution is simple really. We just need to empower each other, and follow these words of wisdom.
