We recently asked the BuzzFeed Community to tell us the best or worst deleted scene from a movie, and several of the submissions were alternate endings. Here they are, some good and some bad, along with some extra additions:
1. This alternate ending to I Am Legend, in which it's revealed that the creatures have feelings and see Will Smith's character as a monster.

2. Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story would've actually been a true underdog story, had the movie ended with their defeat like in this alternate ending.

4. Sweet Home Alabama's alternate ending features Jake (Josh Lucas) interrupting the reception to announce that Melanie (Reese Witherspoon) is dead — except she's not. Great joke, though!

5. In the original ending for My Best Friend's Wedding, Julianne (Julia Roberts) doesn't dance with George (Rupert Everett), but instead a rando wedding guest played by John Corbett.

7. There are multiple alternate endings to The Butterfly Effect, but the director's cut ends with Ashton Kutcher's character taking his own life while still in the womb — heads up, it's pretty disturbing.

8. In this alternate ending for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Scott (Michael Cera) ends up with Knives (Ellen Wong).
