This Man Shared A Chipotle Ordering Hack, And Twitter Is Divided

#Chipotlegate is upon us once again.

This is Josh Williams, a graphic designer and father of three kids who currently lives in California.

On Sunday night, Williams was driving home when he spotted a Chipotle and decided to stop by to order dinner for his wife.

"My wife (a culinary student) had an essay to write for school so I took our 4-year-old son to the theatre. After the movie, my son and I swung in to pick up dinner to take home to eat with my wife," Williams told BuzzFeed Food.

But instead of ordering traditional soft tacos, he decided to request them deconstructed, with the ingredients packaged in individual plastic containers.

"The kids [and I] love Chipotle so I ordered a couple sets of chicken soft tacos.

When we've done this before, they often fall apart by the time they make the long trip home [because] we live in a small town about 45 minutes from the nearest Chipotle restaurant," said Williams. "So on a similar trip a couple months ago, either my wife or I had the idea the get the cold ingredients on the side so we could reassemble [the tacos] at home."

FYI, he also said that the alternative — going to a grocery store and purchasing taco fillings — was impossible because he lives in a remoteish area where "everything closes at 5 p.m."

Williams' dedication to the perfect taco obviously riled up all of Twitter. Some people praised the technique as genius:

In his defense, Williams said that the takeout bag contained three paid orders' worth of ingredients.

"In spite of all the Chipotle hate on the thread, I'm a fan. It's fresh, and I like the chicken. And the green tomatilla is 💯," said Williams. "And we actually make tacos at home ALL THE TIME, but if the fridge is empty and you're in a bind, this is a solid alternative."

Genius or despicable, the ordering suggestion might not be worth it if you're trying to get the most bang for your buck, according to one former employee ¯\_(ツ)_/¯:
