Since debuting his original Netflix series, Patriot Act, comedian and actor Hasan Minhaj has turned into somewhat of a household name.
Recently, he even hit a social media milestone by reaching 1 million followers on Instagram. But a screenshot posted to Twitter shows his dad was far from impressed.
When Minhaj texts his dad the news, his dad simply simply points out, "That's 17 million less than Shah Rukh Khan." 😑 😑 😑
If you're not in the know, Shah Rukh Khan is an Indian actor and film producer and a HUGE DEAL in the Bollywood scene and beyond. But STILL — 1 Million followers is like, A LOT, Mr. Minhaj!!
Anyway, a lot of Asians felt pretty seen by Hasan's response.
Obviously not all Asian parents are hard on their kids, but many people found his dad's reply relatable.
