Response to 29 Ways To Be The Worst Person At Starbucks:
I taught myself how to make latte art, and every time a customer gets a drink they’re just thrilled that there’s “a little leaf” on top :) (it’s a chain of coffee shops and most baristas don’t take the time or effort to make latte art)
I MET HIM ONCE. He touched my shoulder. Greatest 12 seconds of my life. Got to hear him speak at ECCC last year and he’s genuinely just an awesome person.
As an artist myself, and being someone who generally wants to do good, I feel like this is a brilliant way to use special skills to help others. I think the most important thing about this article isn’t even the fact that artists make signs; I think the biggest thing is that someone just sat down and talked with these people. So often the homeless are defined by stereotypes, and their stories simply never get heard.
