From booze in the bath to bee stings and bird poo (yes bird poo), we introduce you to some of the weirdest beauty regimes favoured by the stars.

1. Gwyneth Paltrow Likes To Get Stung

Gwyneth Paltrow actually uses bee stings as a beauty treatment, yes you heard that right. She once said: "I've been stung by bees. It's a thousands of years old treatment called apitherapy. People use it to get rid of inflammation and scarring. It's actually pretty incredible if you research it." Okay Gwyn, we're on it.

2. Kate Middleton - Queen Bee

The Duchess of Cambridge isn't the only one getting in on the bee action. She reportedly got a bee venom facial for a smoother, more youthful complexion before her wedding to William.

3. Cider Vinegar For Black Widow

Ever wondered how Scarlett Johansson keeps her skin so perfect? The actress cleanses her face with cider vinegar. $5.65 from Whole Foods, no biggie.

4. Sellotaping Lady Gaga

It should come as no surprise that Lady Gaga's beauty regime is one of the strangest of the lot. The fashion kooky star has a very unique way of taking off her make up, she uses sellotape. Yes, good old present wrapping sellotape. She just sticks it on then rips it off, simple as. What could go wrong?

5. A boozy bath with Teri Hatcher

Oh yeah. This has got to be one of the best ones. The Desperate Housewives alum takes a bath with an entire bottle of red wine. And no, I don't mean she drinks it, she puts it IN the bath. Apparently the nutrients from the grapes nourishes and softens the skin. Definitely worth a try.

6. Victoria Beckham

Okay, this one might actually top Lady Gaga's. Bird poo. Yes, that wasn't a typo, Posh Spice uses bird poo on her face. Apparently she is a big fan of traditional Japanese Geisha Facials, which use nightingale droppings to form a mask. Not sure I'll be trying that anytime soon.
