8Wired - Marlborough

8Wired have been brewing experiment beers since 2009 and have since become a highly-acclaimed brewery around the world. Brewer Soren Eriksen worked his way up from a Coopers homebrew kit to enough capital to make his passion a real business. Check out 8Wired for new world takes on old world styles, including a variety of hoppy IPAs, saisons and porters. The brewery is also home to the largest barrel aging program in the Southern Hemisphere.

Tuatara Brewery - Wellington

Established in 2000, Tuatara is one of the best-known breweries in New Zealand. Famed for their flavoursome pale ales, pilsners and golden ales, head to the Tuatara Third Eye tasting room for one of their weekly tasting experiences. The brewery has won and multitude of awards, including the Supreme Award at the Brewers Guild of New Zealand 2016 Beer Awards.

Monteith’s Brewing Co - Greymouth

Monteith’s have a long, rich history in the beer industry. Opening in during the gold mining days of the 1860s by Stewart Monteith, the brewery has gone from strength to strength to stay current, and is still enjoyed across New Zealand today. Take a trip to their brewery kitchen and taproom for a tour through the ages and a refreshing American Pale Ale.

Epic Beer - Auckland

Specialising in extra hoppy IPAs and an ‘epic’ flavour profile, Epic beer have been producing punchy beers with big aromas since 2006. Visit the taproom in Auckland to sip their famed pales, or check out their more experimental, seasonal brews. Epic beer is popular with beer critics and drinkers alike, picking up 25 awards over the years.

Garage Project - Wellington

Gaining its name from the garage the brewery started out in, Garage Project has gone from nano brewery status to worldwide fame. Known for their experimental style, the brewery have brewed a wide range of beers from the mango, vietnamese mint and chilli beer ‘Death from Above’ to their ‘Cereal Milk Stout’ brewed with cornflakes, oats, chocolate and milk sugar. Drop into their taproom, 91 Aro, to enjoy 18 taps, two cask lines and specially created cellar brews.
