After devastating fans last year with an announcement that the science fiction drama Sense8 would be ending, Netflix made good on its promise that the series would get a proper ending, delivering a trailer Thursday for the upcoming two-hour finale.

The show, created by Lana and Lilly Wachowski and J. Michael Straczynski, amassed a small but fervent fanbase over the course of its two-season run, with viewers falling in love with a global story about eight individuals linked together, both mentally and emotionally.

Fans also tried really, really hard to save the show from being canceled, making websites and other petitions as a last attempt to get the network to change its decision.

With the release of the trailer, which will officially mark the conclusion of the eight sensates' story, fans are doing their best to enjoy the bittersweet moment. "I still can't accept the fact that this is the finale," one person tweeted.

I still can't accept the fact that this is the finale. #Sense8

Others cried after seeing the visual.

Did I just cry watching the @sense8 trailer?

And some refused to give up hope, pressing Netflix to bring the show back for a third season. "When you make a choice, you live with it or fix it," another user tweeted at the company.

When you make a choice you live with it or you fix it. @Netflix it's not to late to make us happy with the news of the third season 😏 @sense8 #Sense8All5Seasons #sense8Season3

Others said they got "goosebumps" watching the trailer and were left feeling "happy yet so sad" because they wanted the show to go on.

i’m happy yet so sad this show deserves to be continued #sense8

#Sense8 shouldn’t be canceled. Hands down best show that was complexed and right on the money. $$ shouldn’t matter when you have a great show

You can catch the Sense8 finale when it becomes available for streaming June 8 on Netflix.
